Music Reproduction Licence Manual
The Music Reproduction Licence
Since a separate copyright exists in the typeset page, permission is usually required to make an exact reproduction, even if the work you wish to copy is no longer in copyright.
Available as an add-on to the Church Copyright Licence™, the CCLI® Music Reproduction Licence™ provides convenient and affordable copyright clearance to photocopy (directly duplicate, scan or share electronically) pages from songbooks and music publications as well as sheet music files.
The licence permits you to:
- Photocopy or scan pages from authorised hymn/songbooks and sheet music publications, including typeset sheet music downloaded from the internet.
- Electronically duplicate/share sheet music files (for example by emailing a PDF to another person or via a number of networked screens)
- Download Afrikaans lyrics/lead and chord sheets from the FLAM website
What this licence covers:
The licence covers most sheet music publications commonly used by churches as well as lyric, lead and chord sheet downloads from FLAM. To confirm if a publication is covered view the authorised lists.
